WHY WE DESIGN IT
Build comfort from the core with the men’s Essential Base Layer. By placing the moisture-wicking magic of merino wool directly next to the skin, the Essential bike base layer brings quick-drying performance to summertime rides. Featuring a slim fit to sit easily beneath any cycling jersey, we’ve updated this year’s Essential with a smoother seam around the neck to increase comfort. Minimal branding combines our Essential aesthetic with a cooler, sleeveless design.
The wool used is defined as "superfine", which reaches an average fineness of less than 19.5 microns and gives the yarn a soft hand feel, particularly suitable for fabrics and light garments. Merino wools are able to absorb water up to 30% of their weight without becoming damp, and this property, combined with their natural breathability, makes them particularly suitable for all weather conditions, especially those typical for outdoor sports.
The fabric of this item is certified STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, one of the world's best-known voluntary “ecological-label” for textile products and accessories tested for harmful substances. It stands for customer confidence and high product safety.
